Ron,
I like the cut of your jib and would like to subscribe to your
newsletter.
I should add though, that to shoot the video, in order for it to
look more than just "some amateurish thing", a "proper" professional
grade video camera should be used, along with the proper lighting, a
nice neutral backdrop as well as low or absolutely no background noise.
Cutting the switch commentary with some of the really nifty,
interesting bits about a Linux Desktop Manager, like KDE (One desktop
should be focused on for this kind of thing, it doesn't have to be KDE.)
should be shown across the screen. Whatever Desktop is used, should
remain the same across ALL of the spots, if more than one spot is created.
This would be difficult to do, knowing the major opinions so many of
different Linux users/advocates. However, to the layperson, such a well
polished series of pieces would do more to draw them to Linux than
anything else.
