[mdlug] Downloading video (and other) streams

 Ah. Erm. I assume that means you will carry the Zaurus away from the
desktop to a hotspot somewhere and do the downloading there, then bring
it back to the desktop for viewing.

 That's a tough one. I don't know of anything like that. I can think of
one way you could *try* to do it. Find some browser that (a) runs on the
Zaurus, and (b) supports plugins. Then, write a simple plugin for that
browser that just takes the stream and saves it to a file instead of
playing it.

 (If the wifi is near enough to the Zaurus, and the Zaurus is near to the
desktop, there would be ways to access the net *through* the Zaurus, by
having the desktop get a net connection over the USB cable, and have the
Zaurus masquerade it onto the wifi net. Essentially you could use the
Zaurus as a USB-to-Wifi interface. But that doesn't sound like what you're
looking for.)
