I use pfSense, It's not Linux based but FreeBSD based.
I have had more success with it than some of the Linux based systems.
For what I have heard IPCop is one of the best Linux Based solutions.
pfSense is making great strides and adds many of the requested
that the community requests in there forums and on there mailing list.
