So the burner is always completing the burn, but the disks are unreadable?

If you think the media is bad, it's a waste of time to fiddle with the
drive. I have occasionally bought spindles of CD-Rs that seemed to have
a lot of bad disks. Do you have another CD burner to test the media in?
