People who jump at "too good to be true" schemes deserve to be
taken... they're just as malignantly greedy as the people who
are swindling them... a con artist's favorite mark is someone
who is dishonest at heart... (look at politicians who try to
sell the public on the idea that if elected, they will give
them something for nothing.. or, at someone else's expense..
the reality is, IF the program is enacted, the money to the
the targeted population is just a dribble, and usually it
comes out of their own pockets (either in higher taxes levied
on them, or in greater periods of unemployment as the business
climate is slowly destroyed by taxing those who would otherwise
be able to hire them...and the politician laughs all the way
to the capitol)

There are courts to remedy solutions for those who deliberately mislead.

And John Edwards made his fortune taking such cases under a
(commonly offered) deal of .. if I lose the case, you pay
nothing for my services, if I win the case, then I get X%
of the court's award.
