I changed my mind on systemd once already.
I too once believed the "it's a monolith PID 1", "binary logs might as
well be Windows registry", etc.
Then I used it. I read up on how it works, its excellent documentation,
the pros & cons.
I realized I was wrong. The hysteria on Slashdot was (gasp), inaccurate.

It's *not* a philosophy nor a religion!
It is a piece of *software*, to be evaluated solely on its merits.
Interesting that you say that - it explains why the anti systemd folks
keep coming back with debunked arguments and refuse to engage on the
facts or address why multiple vendors sought a services management
system (notice how that inconvenient fact is still unaddressed?).

I agree with this.

There can be, there should be, but one cannot use reason to counter an
