Oh   my   gosh!

The wonderful thing about Linux and BSD is you can go your own way.
Those wanting "just the facts" go with Linux From Scratch or . Those
who want constant hand-holding go Ubuntu or Mint. Those who want
something in between go with Void or Devuan.

Many in the Linux community use Linux because of its a-la-carte
selection of tools and applications that can easily be connected to
create their desired workflow. They don't want "one interface to rule
them all".

Let's talk about standardization. POSIX is a great standard enabling a
person to easily build programs, systems and workflows like Lego
Blocks, and most Linux distros support the majority of POSIX. Read what
Poettering says about POSIX. Poettering's no fan of standardization
unless it's *his* standardization.

If you'd prefer to boss your computer rather than have your computer
boss you, go full force POSIX and also replace systemd with something
more a-la-carte.
