[mdlug] Old credit cards systems - things have changed

I saw a post on Facebook about the old days. Someone said that people
didn;t walk out of Walmart with free TVs back then.

I worked at the Kmart headquarters in the 1980's. The credit card system at
the time used paper copies of the charge slips. The store managers would
sign the slips while laying them on top of other slips making the other
slips unreadable. So, people were getting free refrigerators. I worked on
the credit card system for years.
