First it was Chase.com. Using the latest Chrome (actually Iron) browser
or Firefox I can no longer do my online banking with my GNU/Linux system.
Now it's the same with Kroger.com. I cannot do online shopping with
my GNU/Linux system.
The utilities (i.e. water, DTE, Consumers) are still OK but I can only
wonder how much longer this will be the case.
I pay insurance once per year but I may discover, when the time comes,
that my GNU/Linux browsers will be rejected as well.
I have a M$ Win11 machine that I keep but it is very inconvenient for
me to have to use it for only a single purpose.
Ordinarily, I will only use Palemoon/"Links -g" for general browsing,
but for the occasional bill payment, shopping, etc. I need Firefox/Iron.
But now these no longer function.
Do others on this list have similar experiences?
Would it be possible to alter the user-agent string to fool these
websites?
