[mdlug] My Jeep ate my audio files

Yes, sounds like *somebody* didn't read the manual for their Jeep's media
player.

My Fiat 500 uses the Blue & Me infotainment system by Microsoft, so
because that's a Microsoft product I made sure to read the manual before
trying to play media files on it. I ended up putting a bunch of MP3 files
and playlists on a 64GB USB stick formatted with exFAT, and I plug that
into my car's USB port. It works well, and all the playlists are
recognized. No problems since I bought the car in 2014. Some Jeep models
(e.g. Compass) were built on a Fiat platform and so they share some of
the same components. The Blue & Me system in my car does not support MTP
via USB, just mass storage. So if R Kannan's Jeep uses that system then
that might help explain what happened. If his Jeep uses another system
then it could still be a similar issue with MTP.
