After a bit more research, I found a possible method, based, as
expected, in AI/ML:

However, I cannot (or will not) test this method because it uses
python (i.e. pytorch, tensorflow, torchvision, matplotlib).

I don't use python and I don't want to start messing with it
as it requires dependencies upon dependencies.  If the author
would provide a straightforward opencv source then I would try
it out.
