Hello,

I replaced an old brother HL4040CN printer with Brother HL-L3270pdf
printer. Once I connected it to my wireless, CUPS found the printer
(through DNSSD)  and used the  apropriate driver I had downloaded and
installed. But I found that it does not orient the pages correctly in
the landscape mode from Acrobat reader. The status on CUPS always says
"Idle - "Waiting for job to complete."

With the old printer, I had it connected through USB to a 'Hawkings
print server' (https://www.hawkingtech.com/product/hwps12ug/) which
allowed me to add multiple printers which I can access from CUPS. This
worked well but unfortunately I deleted the printer from CUPS and do not
remember what protool I had used to connect.  I tried to do the same
with the new printer and tried adding it to CUPS through IPP protocol.

ipp://192.168.1.100/HL3270

When I tried to print a test page using this, there is no print out. The
CUPS status says "Unable to get printer status.".

Any ideas on how I can make this work through the 'print server' or
directly on the network?

Thanks for any suggestions.
