Due to a recent conflict, Nicholas Nicholas has rescheduled,
his microcontroller and total eclipse presentation until July.

Our upcoming topics are:


June		Raspberry Pi: Headless Image howto
	Sat 2017.06.10 12n-4pEDT
	Caroline Kennedy Public Library

	Dr. Meier will describe considerations and procedures
	to setup a raspberry pi without monitor, mouse, or keyboard.
	Especially useful for standalone servers, kiosks, and
	embedded hardware applications.  Learn how to modify
	Raspbian image, for first time boot support of ssh with
	preset network configuration.
	Bring your own Raspberry Pi, ethernet cable, and
	memory card already loaded with Raspbian, and follow along.


July		Microcontroller Demo, 2017.08.21 Total Eclipse

	Nicholas Nicholas (N8GIR)
	will give a presentation on his latest project in ham radio,
	a radio upgrade micro processor board
	with text to speech capabilities.
	He will also inform the group on his plans
	to provide RF signals from his Wyoming ranch,
	for scientific researchers during this summer's
	total eclipse of the sun 2017.08.21 .

September	Laptop-to-laptop Digital Radio

	Caroline Kennedy Public Library

	Joe Miller (KJ8O) and Brian Johnston (W8TFI) are licensed
	amateur radio operators who will demonstrate digital radio
	modes useful to connect computer to computer over distances
	(multi-mile) well beyond normal wifi. They will explain how to
	get started, where to get software for unlicensed operation,
	and how to get local help from the American Radio Relay League
	to earn a radio operator license for interstate and
	international operation. Bring your FRS radio,
	laptop with sound card, and audio cables.
