No. D-Bus is currently a user space IPC. Kdbus is a planned integration
of d-bus into the Linux kernel.

That's nice and good. But not everybody wants it that way. There
should always be forks.
Not everyone wants Gnome or KDE, and there are lots of alternatives.
This kind of choice should be everywhere.
