[mdlug] ECC errors Ubuntu Server 14.04

Hi all

I have a old HP Proliant 530 ML server machine, I am trying to put
Ubuntu Server 14.04 on it.  Ubuntu installs fine initially
but after reboot from the install it kicks out line after line of ECC
errors during the boot sequence and after it has booted to the log in
prompt.

I have done the HP check and it says the memory is fine, did a install
of windows 2008 server and Windows 7 and no ECC errors.  For a test I
did a Ubuntu install on a different HP 530 ML that is currently running
VMWare ESXi and get the same set of errors.  Is there a boot switch to
ignore ECC error correcting with Ubuntu Server?.   I did some checking
and did not see a bios way to disable any errors.

I have not had a chance to try Fedora or Debian to see if I get same
errors yet.
