I am also using the UPnP server but this particular video player (WD TV
Live Plus) does not display subtitles in video files (mpg) if it is not
extracted into an SRT file in the same directory. UPnP server only
serves media files and not SRT files.

Without subtitles the video player works fine with UPnP.
