Do they install a Linux distribution on the systems they build.

One still has to be careful with hardware and Linux.  In spite of much
progress, the official kernel tree is still lacking in appropriate
drivers.

An example would be hardware from Realtek, which is included on
many popular motherboards.  Even though the official kernel contains
drivers for Realtek LAN (ethernet) and Realtek HD audio, these drivers
do not work as well as the drivers supplied by Realtek.  The drawback
is that the user must compile the Realtek drivers from source, and
I would seriously doubt that Computer Direct would go the extra step.
