[mdlug] Adobe abandons Linux !?!

It appears that there is no longer any current Linux updates for the
Adobe PDF Reader and the Adobe Flash Player from Adobe.
There are a number of native Linux PDF readers that do a decent job,
thus not an issue for me.
However, there are many web sites that use the Adobe Flash Player
plugin. I fear that my Ubuntu 12.04 desktop will eventually become
persona non grata at these sites.
Is there a native Linux solution to the Flash Player plugin issue?
For now I have been ignoring the warning messages that Firefox keeps
popping up at these sites.
Thank you,
Rick Staff
P.S. When I boot into Windows 7, I am able to get the latest version
from Adobe. Should I abandon Linux as my primary desktop PC?
