[mdlug] Best Linux rig for capturing frames from analog video?

The camera is a sunk cost. Would you rather work 20 hours on getting this to work or spend $150 and 2 hours for a superior solution?  By limiting yourself to a solution using the sunk-cost camera, you may be costing yourself a great deal more moving forward.

I typically see accountants make this kind of mistake.
