This is by far the best option. Otherwise you are dependent on aging
hardware as well - and you won't necessarily have support for installing
on 'current' hardware whenever that hardware dies. I'd work on moving
it to a VM pronto. Fortunately the VM will essentially run forever.
For example I still have a Windows NT4 VM around for an application that
will not work on a more current OS; it putters happily away *LONG*
after both support was terminated and there was any hope at all that you
could install NT4 on a piece of hardware you could buy.
