I have a blank disk on the drive. But the problem is that K3b was
working fine with a writer device when logged in on the console. I am
having some display issues on this laptop which is why I had to login
from remote with 'ssh -X'.

Now about permissions on fstab it should be fine because because
console login using the same account allows access to to drive.

Not I am all set because I can burn the image using command line 'dd
of=/dev/dvd..." But I am curious why
k3b thinks there is no dvd writer.
