[mdlug] Wireless Debian KDE/LXDE

OK I did complete reinstall on my laptop of Debian testing.  I have a
Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG that requires the binary blob
firmware "firmware-iwlwifi" in order to use the card.  The firmware is
installed and works with no problem in KDE.  If I log out then log
back in with LXDE the wireless does not work and does not even show
that their is a wireless device.  Any ideas?
