Mike, I did an IPv6 presentation a few years ago. You can get the PDF

Yep, MAC addresses are just as important in IPv6 as in IPv4, but
important differently.

And why so many apps crash - they assumed network addresses of a certain
length or data-type [as some databases have ipv4-addr like data types...
