As long as the chip sets are fully supported in the kernel you are running it should be fine. I know with Debian some of the Dell cards do not play well initially. I had to download a module and have it on a thumb drive to complete the install.

I do agree, that's why I am overbuilding.
What are your thoughts on this configuration. Three RAID Chipsets, will they
play nicely? They are all the same brand, same model as well. One is
onboard, the others are PCI-E cards.
