Hey Robert,

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with your
current problem, but DOS is known for eating all
available CPU cycles for keyboard input.  Have you
tried running doskbd?  It's a little utility from
M$ that puts keyboard input on a CPU diet.  I'd
suggest giving it a try.
