The same kinds of things can be said about Henry Ford and other "Great
Innovators".
They can come up with some wickedly cool shit or pull together the pieces to
build wickely cool shit, but they can be complete and total asshats.
Whether they are just curmudgeons or extreme in their personal ideology, the
people that make big/great things/changes, tend to create a good number of
"enemies".
I would Steve Jobs, Henry Ford, Richard Stallman, Bill Gates and many
similar movers and shakers into the same overlapped region of a Venn
Diagram.
In the case of Stallman's piece, I would say that the Source Code is calling
the Compiled Kernel black.

(Good lord, did I just write out a monologue to next be seen on "The Big
Bang Theory"?)
