I have Netgear but the networking concepts should be the same.
Basicly, you want to convert your wireless router to an simple access point.
Make sure you are on the wired router when doing this, which make life simpler
if you mess up the wireless. I assume your wireless has some wired ports, so
plug a cable from the wired router to the wireless. You don't want the
Internet/WAN port as it requires routing. Then in the wireless setup, set the
LAN IP to a static IP. (Make sure the wired router has some static IPs
available.) Make sure you write down the IP address as this will be how you
will access the wireless router to admin it. Then turn off the DHCP server in
the wireless router. This will cause DHCP request to go back to the wired
router. All the other wireless setting are the same as if you are using it as a
standalone wireless router. There, you now have a wireless access point.
Again, I have done this on Netgear, but not Linksys so I cannot give you step by
step instructions.
Regards,
Stan
