[mdlug] I am stupid.

Had to reboot the powermac laptop I've been using as a server at home,
running netBSD. (Needed to free up a surge suppressor, and the battery
on the laptop is fried.) Suddenly remembered that (a) when I got it
running, it needed special boot options to start up, and (b) I am a
moron and forgot to write them down.

The firewire chipset in there gives netBSD fits, and hangs the boot. You
have to disable it. Plus, I'd forgotten how everything was partitioned.
It took me several tries over the course of the weekend to get the right
magic incantations. They are now written down and attached to the laptop
for future reference.

And hey, while I'm at it I'll back them up on MDLUG's email archives. :)

boot hd:9,\ofwboot.xcf netbsd-GENERIC.gz -c
disable fwohci
exit

 Sincerely,

 Ray Ingles (313) 227-2317
