[mdlug] MS buying Skype

I forsee this being almost exactly like Microsoft's purchase of Virtual PC.

The next version of Skype or two of the Skype client software will work for
most operating systems that it currently operates on. Then the server system
will be swapped out for whatever current Microsoft Server offering is in the
works, service quality will drop slightly, Linux compatibility will
disappear or lose features, MacOS capability and features will remain for a
few more versions past that.

Then some new version of Windows will come out with built-in MS
Virtualphone, which will actually be Skype renamed and there will no longer
be any additional clients for other operating systems.

Cynical? Maybe.

Seen one to many times previously? Yes.
