 I wound up ordering a Chemtronics CW8100 flux pen via Amazon. It looks
like I managed to fix both PS3s by following the instructions here:

 I still have some burn-in to do, and there's no way to know just how
long they'll *stay* fixed, but I'll count this as a success at this
point.
