[mdlug] Debian 6 DNS not resolving

resolv.conf:
nameserver 192.168.1.254

This is the same as on all my Linux PC's. Yes, I know it looks a little 
different but that is how it is set up for my AT&T DSL. I think the modem has 
some type of internal DNS pass-through system. I have been using this 
configuration for years.
