When he starts FEELING BAD about it, he'll look for a better solution.

I would suggest putting Seamonkey on other people's machines, and your
own, of course.

And then when he complains, act like he's crazy, and go around the
shop, asking everyone if they're having problems with THEIR email
client.

Generate ENVY.

Finally, when HE'S FED UP WITH NOT HAVING what his subordinates have
(and which works better), he'll switch.
