Also keep a copy of the current PDF readers as the format will change
over the years and todays PDFs may not be compatible with the
applications of tomorrow.

Obviously this implies keeping a copy of the OS and support libraries.
 Since x86 may be long gone in ten years you should probably keep a PC
in storage to support the software and drives.

(this only sounds ridiculous to those who haven't been involved in
corporate data archiving)
