[mdlug] Problems with the flash plug in install files

Hello,

I tried installing the latest flash plugin from install files at adobe site (as youtube seems to require the latest flash plugin now). First I tried the rpm version. It updated the following file

/usr/lib/flash-plugin/libflashplayer.so

with a new version with the datestamp 1/26/2010. This file is the target of the link from firefox/plugins directory.I restarted the browser again. No cigar with youtube. 

Next I tried the tar.gz file. Unzipping the file produced the same file with the same size/datestamp as above. It did not create a directory as given in the instructions at the Adobe site. Still no luck with youtube which keeps directing me to the adobe site.

Any ideas?
