> 5+ years of experience administering Unix/Linux based systems. RHCE certification is a plus.
> Strong experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux .4 and Solaris 10 is a plus.
> Strong experience in building and configuring traffic heavy TCP/IP networks.
> Experience in using and setting up virtualized environments running on VMware.
> Experience in defining firewall and load balancing rules and configurations.
> Proven track record of administering large scale and high performance Internet applications.
> Ability to learn, apply and explain new tools and technologies quickly.
> Strong experience in performance tuning highly concurrent Java applications running on Linux and x86.
> Familiarity with popular JMS implementations such as JBoss Messaging Service and Apache Qpid.
> Working knowledge of JBoss Application Server and Tomcat.
> Working knowledge of Oracle Service Bus or Open Source Mule ESB is a big plus.
> Familiarity with Apache Hadoop, HDFS, HBase, Solr, and Lucene is a big plus.
> Familiarity with Oracle 10g/11g and PostgreSQL databases.
> Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and UML modeling tools.
> Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
> Creative, problem-solving approach with developed multi-tasking ability.
> Ability to effectively function in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
