I'm configuring a new computer, and now is the time to consider
backup strategy.

What tools and/or features do you (dis)recommend?



In the past, I used cprcdr because of the following features.
   o scriptable map of live namespace to cd
   o ls -R index of each cd retained and searchable in live space
