Sounds cool. You should bring that to one of the meetings (either mug.org or mdlug.org) so we can get a look at it.

Gib/All,

One suggestion: Be careful which one of these you get. Some of them are
not easy to modify for Linux etc. And specifications from Chinese goods
are most often less then accurate, (aka fictitious).

I have received the netbook, from a company in New York), and have Linux
installed and working. It is a distribution of Debian ARM based on the
Android kernel. There are numerous links and the like that would be
worth saving you time should you wish to build. I will be on IRC over
the next week (handle DiveMichigan), during the day to share my results
as they are ongoing. I currently have the following installed and
working from an SDHC 2Gb card:

1. ssh - both client and server (sshd). Server is being a little shy
after other things have been installed. I need to look at the problem.

2) Apache2 - runs well I have a few pages and can run it locally as we
discussed at the last meeting (time to install and set up under 15
minutes). Used old pages I had and created 1 page with a note to you
all on it. I may set it up on one of my IPs so you can get to it
remotely.

3) X11-Xwindows with 3 window managers, XWM, DWM, and Fluxbox (I also
installed X11 fonts, and X11 Auth). I run it with startx rather then
booting into the X windows manager for everything at the moment.

I am working on more stuff since I have a little extra space on the 2Gb
SDMC card.

Robin
