[mdlug] K3b DVD burning issues

Well I dont have segestions but an other CD/DVD question.

I have a SATA DVD/CD R/W disk and it does not mount, 

How do I get the SATA drive to mount properly?

Subject: [mdlug] K3b DVD burning issues

Earlier I burned a data DVD using K3b.  When I tried to burn a second 
DVD the burn failed with both buffers dropping to zero and hanging 
forever, when it reached about 2.5GB.  It continued to fail until I 
reduced the amount of data down to just under 2.5GB.  Now the burn fails 
at 407MB.  I believe there is some cache somewhere that is not being 
flushed correctly.  Google has not been helpful.  Does anyone have any 
suggestions.
