If you boot the old box with a Knoppix Live CD, can you mount the
partitions on the old drive?  If you boot the new box with a Knoppix
Live CD, can you mount the partitions on the new drive?

If yes to both questions, then put the old drive in the new box, use
Knoppix to mount both drive partitions, and move/copy the data.

BTW, you may want to make backup images of the partitions on the old
drive before you do anything else, just in case.
