It may be hot and noisy, but the costs at first glance look fantastic.

Amortize the hardware costs over 3 years, and we are looking at about $0.07/month storage cost with unlimited retrieval.

Compare that to S3, and assume 1 retrieval and we are looking at $0.34/month.

Of course, true costs will vary by usage patterns.
