Subject: [mdlug] adding wireless to existing network
Date: Fri, 8 May 2009 16:58:13 -0400

Hey Folks,

I'm trying to add a LINKSYS WRT54G2 to an existing office network and am
missing
something I hope is relatively simple.

The wired network is an ATT DSL serviced network using 192.168.0.x with
the DSL
gateway at 192.168.0.1

I'm throwing away the auto setup on the WRT54G2 and trying to create a
wireless
192.168.1.x subnet(?)

I can get on the wireless network but nothing makes it to the wired
side. Can't ping
the DSL gateway.

Netmask on both is 255.255.255.0 Is that the issue?

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.

Drink tap water from a reusable container instead.
