If you plug the wan port into your
network anything behind the WRT54G has to be in another sub-net.
If you choose unwisely to use the wan port you will have to setup ROUTING
within the routers settings (ADVANCED ROUTING) . You have to choose to set
the device as a router and not a gateway. Then make the appropriate
settings to
get it to work. Can't remember what I did for those it was a few years ago.
I did this once then decided it was a pain. So now I just use one of
the 4 switch
ports to plug into my main router (192.168.0.1). Everything is on the
192.168.0.X
network, including the wireless.
BTW I have a WRT54G version3 not a G2.
