[mdlug] Linux on the PS3 - anyone have experience with this?

It looks like the latest Ubuntu has built-in support for the key PS3
updates I want. (WPA support over wifi, and ps3-vram swap support.) So,
I figure I'll be pulling the trigger soon and stick Linux on my PS3.
The only thing holding me back for now is the availability of a
big-enough backup drive, but it looks like I can borrow one for long
enough. I'd like to play with it, and I have a half-assed notion for a
project - a Forth interpreter
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forth_(programming_language) ) running on
the SPUs (the little vector coprocessors on the PS3's CPU).
Does anyone have any experience with this? Any gotchas I should look
out for?
Sincerely,
Ray Ingles (313) 227-2317
