Actually, over half the world's tantalum comes from Australia, and there
are five of six other countries that produce more than Congo. Congo's
production amounts to ... I don't remember if it's a small percent, or a
fraction of a percent, of the worlds production. Those wars are still an
awful business, but representations along the lines of "our technology
depends on their misery" wildly distort the facts.
