I wonder--since anti-virus/anti-spyware apps seem to NOT count against
the 3-app count--would it be possible to trick Win7 into thinking a
particular application was an anti-virus app when it was not?  Does it
check a list?

I also agree that such an artificial limitation will benefit Linux...
but when has MS EVER been about its customers?
