[mdlug] Multiple partitions in usbdisk[was]mpeg files from MythTV play w/o audio in PS3

I tried to reformat the usbdisk with

mkfs -t vfat /dev/sdb1

But I still see this usbdisk showing up as two drives (two icons on KDE desktop).
What exactly is in this drive which is causing this?
