It comes into the picture in the event that I lose the high speed 
connection on the desktop
machine for some reason, but can get to a Panera or similar site with 
the handheld. (It's
the Zaurus that I've had for some time.) There is a version for 
Firefox for it, but it's huge and
awkward to install and likely does not have all the abilities of the 
full version.

I've tried firefox extensions on the desktop; the extra button that's 
supposed to appear does
not. And this is assuming that the extension will install on my 
version. (I plan an upgrade
of the whole system eventually soon as I find some disk space to 
rearrange things on.)
