[mdlug] Spreadsheet radio boxes

Spreadsheet users,

I'd appreciate any help with oocalc,
and any pointers to where the radio buttons are defined/editable.

I have an xls spreadsheet (http://2008election.procon.org/)
used with OpenOffice_org-1.9.125-5 ,
in which all the radio buttons act as if they are in one sheet wide
group and clicking a radio button inserts a Boolean value rather
than a number.



Cells $Enn each display a radio box with 3 choices.
Cells $Fnn each display a radio box with 5 choices.
Columns $G through $R are hidden,
but when exposed display a simple vector correlation calculation,
($Enn dot $Fnn dot <one fixed vector in $T through $Y).

When I click a radio button in $Enn, all other radio buttons in
  every *other* row of $Enn, *and* all of $Fnn are unchecked,
  and all cells in $Gnn,$Jnn change to False,
  except sometimes one cell in the same row changes to True.

Changing content in $Gnn, $Jnn to a number or True, changes
  all *other* cells in $Gnn,$Jnn to False,
  and unchecks all radio buttons in $Enn,$Fnn,
  except sometimes one radio button on the same row.

Deleting/altering cells $Enn,$Fnn or the entire columns $E,$F
  leaves the radio boxes still displayed.



How are radio boxes defined in xls, ods, or sdc spreadsheets?
  (The contents of the cell where they appear is empty.)

How can I find the definition of a radio box in ods, or sdc spreadsheets?
  How can I find what cell/... put a value in a given cell?
  (The cell contents show only True/False, not an equation.)

How can I edit a radio box in ods, or sdc spreadsheets?

How can I remove a radio box in ods, or sdc spreadsheets?
  (Removing columns $E and $F left the radio boxes crunched in
   column (shifted) $E and changes to the (shifted) $Enn and $Hnn cells
   behaved the same as reported above.)
