If I ever win the lottery, I would LOVE to bring Con Zymaris to
Penguicon!  He wrote an excellent monograph nearly ten years ago that
addresses this very issue and has held up very well, IMHO:
"Shoulders of Giants -- A Paper on the Inevitability of Open Source Dominance"
