That's because the writing is on the wall that OOXML
will NEVER get approved as an document standard by ISO
as long as <DoLikeOffice95> and other mystery tags
remain undefined.

And the European courts just gave the go-ahead for
two more suits against them.

It took 30 years of federal court actions for
IBM to stop subverting the free market with various
ploys -- it could be that as Gates and pals are on
their way out, that the new up-and-coming management
has decided that what is basically legal strategies
akin to shotgun-to-the-foot not only aren't working,
but they're pissing off the customer base, too.
